LET’S GET TO KNOW NINA, OUR PARK VILLAGE NEIGHBOR…
Have you met our Notable Neighbor Nina Shantel Krosch? She and her husband Steve Krosch have lived in Park Village for the past 23 years. You might have seen them on their daily walks, engaging with fellow residents and admiring the beautifully landscaped yards that dot our neighborhood.
Nina’s journey is quite inspiring. Like many of us, she’s faced her share of challenges, particularly when it comes to health. While genetics played a role, she discovered that her diet was the primary culprit, despite her belief that she was eating relatively healthily by avoiding fast food.
Determined to improve her well-being, Nina has spent the last 18 years immersing herself in health and nutrition research. Her dedication led her to pursue professional certifications, becoming a Certified Fitness Nutritionist, Personal Trainer, and Strength & Conditioning Coach. Her goal was not only to enhance her own health but also to help others address issues like weight management, high cholesterol, and diabetes.
Nina’s passion for health and nutrition has also led her to become an author. She’s published four books, including two recipe collections. One of these books, “The High-Five Diet,” chronicles her health journey and features her favorite plant-based recipes.
Recently, Nina shared some exciting news: through targeted lifestyle changes, she’s successfully reversed her autoimmune conditions. Now, she’s eager to share her knowledge with others, hoping to help them avoid similar struggles and lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.
To that end, Nina is planning a presentation for local residents titled “Reverse and Prevent Disease with Supermarket Foods”. Saturday, November 9 at Peñasquitos Creek Park from 10:30-11:30 AM. It promises to be an informative event where she’ll share practical advice on improving health through everyday food choices. Please park in the parking lot and she’ll be set up in the open space near the playground and tennis courts. Bring a chair or blanket to sit on.
Nina’s story is a testament to the power of perseverance and the importance of continuous learning. Her upcoming presentation offers a valuable opportunity for our community to benefit from her experience and expertise in nutrition and wellness. Who’s in?
